Bethany Convent, Madikere, Kodagu – Estd 24 May 1995

As the sisters of the Northern Province were in search of a base in south western India.
The Northern Province could not send sisters to the Kannada medium school and there were practical difficulties to reach out to the community from the North.
Therefore the school was transferred to Bangalore Province in June 2006.
The sisters from the Northern Province returned to their Province.
Sr Smitha was appointed Superior and headmistress of the English Primary School in 2007. The sisters presence in Madikeri is well appreciated by the people. St Michael’s English and Kannada schools have progressed academically and in co-curricular activities.

There is a lot of scope for further improvement. May they grow and find fulfillment in pursuing the objectives of their mission for the glory of God and good of all.

“Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
